Last week when I made oatmeal and took it to work, it was good but I was hungry two hours later. So with some extra time in the kitchen, I tried a new recipe. This time, it kept me full, but I wasn’t so into the taste. I’ll keep trying!
Oats with Yogurt:
1/2 C Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 C water
4 oz. Oikos Vanilla yogurt
dash of salt
blueberries
spoonful of peanut butter
top with cinnamon and sweetener
I combined the first four ingredients and microwaved for 2 minutes. Then stirred, and added blueberries and peanut butter. Topped with cinnamon.
I tried adding yogurt this time to make it more filling, but it was a little tangy, most likely because I used Oikos. Adding sweetener helped there. A sweeter yogurt like Chobani might help. Or going back to milk.
This was probably about 350 calories.
