Mother/Daughter Weekend

This past weekend, I did something very different. Nine women in my family, ages 16-79, from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta and LA all went to Greensboro, GA for a mother/daughter weekend. We just planned this a few months ago, and were all surprised it actually happened and everyone went.

We were at a beautiful resort on Lake Oconee where we walked, sat by the pool, jet-skied, went on a pontoon boat ride, ate s’mores and just had a good time!

We are so lucky to have done this and I hope we get to do it again and go back to Lake Oconee. It was beautiful and so fun.

I loved the walks along this hilly trail through the tall trees. Our mornings were rushed and I didn’t get to walk a lot of minutes, but it was very beautiful and I hope to go back and walk longer on another cool day.

All the ladies on the boat with the resort in the back.

There was this little one at home with his dad and doggy sister. Thursday-Sunday was the longest I had been away from him ever, but we FaceTimed and talked on the phone and sent pictures around. Thank goodness for technology! I was so happy to see him on Sunday afternoon.

However, not watching the clock for feedings every three hours was nice.

One more trip and then my travel until Thanksgiving is done!
